This compact Nuc is specifically designed for the mating of newly hatched Queens. The process is simple: introduce a cup and a half of bees along with an unhatched queen cell. Once the queen hatches, she embarks on a mating flight, returns, and begins laying eggs in the newly drawn comb provided by the bees.

After successful mating and egg-laying, the mated queen is ready for transfer to a full-size hive. The Mating Nuc can be used repeatedly, allowing for the production of multiple queens.
